Accompany it with the Spirit

What is up people of cold parts lol. Or warm parts depending where you're at. I'm currently wearing a sweater so I'm cold too. 

So this week Elder Pilling drives his 2017 Chevy Malibu with the 2.0L turbo motor. Yah she shreds. Enjoys a new missionary exchange, and is blown away with Charlotte. 

Yah the Malibu is legit. She's a light silver colour, currently getting 16.9 mpg which is terrible but hey what can you do? Her name is Kali BTW 

So let's start with Charlotte. She's the only person we had a real lesson with this week and she's hilarious. Well she's also a genius, she has parts of the bible memorized and some times whole books in the bible. I asked her "Romans 8" she pondered for 20 seconds and started from vs 1. I then asked "Ok, what about Ephesians 1" and she started quoting it. Then, "How about John 14" and she knew that one as well. We even tried Alma 32 and she knew the jist of that. She's a super cool lady who is prepared for baptism. The only problem is that she lives out of her 2013 Cadillac xts..she's working on a place now. Never met a nonmember who is so devoted to Christ than she is. Pretty cool to feel the power of the spirit with her. She and Andy K. are the 2 people we are teaching now. Kinda low. 

BTW Andy the biker had the flu this week so we missed him but he came to church:) Not sure where his testimony is at since I last taught him but he's close. I have strong feelings for his conversion. 

Yah so this area is way different than SLO or Santa Barbara. I've forgotten how often we get the door slammed. At least in SLO they'd talk. Makes me feel we are in-effective but it's all about Jesus, just got to do what I got to do. This is His work and it's about to get fired up. A special thing happens in life when we turn to Jesus and focus on "The Talent of Spirituality".  As a missionary I feel I've cycled between the skill of contacting and teaching and then accompanying that skill and talent with the spirit. Elder Heartman Rector spoke about a few things that lead to the talent of spirituality and one of them is "Understanding" you have to understand something so it can be spiritual. So you can feast on that, reflect on where you are with your spirituality. It's a blessing to have it, it's one of the greatest gifts we've been given. 

Had a sweet new missionary exchange. Went with Elder Dunahee the new one and he's from Indiana. Pretty interesting. We had a "PVC pipe and nerf bullet" war which was legit. I snipe. 

Yep and that's it. Pray for stuff to happen here.
