Well people this week Elder Pilling sees Christmas come and go, enjoys a good lunch with 2 recent converts, and gets a transfer call.
My oh my its been 6 months in San Luis Obispo. I was able to see 3 friends be baptized here and I feel so blessed:) One was in Camarillo and the other two were the Fuentes brothers Will and Junior. Awe how sweet!! It's been great but things were in need of changing for this area. They have had VERY good missionaries (up until me of course) for over 2 years and the ward has gotten casual so they are bringing an awesome set of sisters here. I know many things will happen, SLO is a great place!! I am dipping out to goleta Valley ward in the Santa Barbara zone. I'm very excited for this I've heard great things about the area. And here's the funny part, my companion will be Elder Ujhely, my trainer hahaha so that will be funny. It's been over a year!! Crazy. So that's happening tomorrow. Santa Barbara has the most missionaries in it and is a fairly large land size as well. Also has a Lululemon so they are everywhere I go lol
So Thursday we got a text from Jonathan, the recent convert guy I've mentioned a few times and he just asked what we were doing. Next thing you know we are going to lunch with Jonathan and Junior hahaha. We got delicious pizza from Woodstock and it was so good for them to blend a little more. They need it! And I'm glad we did because both of us (Elder Drury and I) are dipping. Oh its so sad, I'm gonna miss junior!! And will haha he's so classic.
Saturday we had a super good lesson with our 90yr old Laverne and invited her to baptism. She has been catholic all her life so she was a little stressed out but committed to pray about February 9th. She had been pretty cool to teach. She even texts!! I'm amazed and am sure she will be baptized:)
We saw a cool thing one night with Victoria and her husband Osos. She literally asked us for a Book of Mormon so she could read it with her daughter!! Oh it was so good and such a cool experience. Plus her husband Osos is also very cool, wish I could stay and work with them!
I also bought a traveling dude a tri-tip sandwich from Firestone:) who was walking on the train tracks trying to get to San Francisco!! He hadn't eaten all day and it was 7 o'clock so we zipped and helped get him on a bus to paso Robles. He was kinda interesting.
Oh also Greg the pastor from Mountain Brook had us over for communion. Which BTW is literally eating homemade bread and talking about Jesus. It was neat and I've learned so much about non denomination churches. Pretty cool and he offered his home anytime I visit:). He really is a good friend of mine.
Well it's really been good, new year, new area! Gonna miss the Drewster (companion) but that's alright, we will see each other often enough.
Adios people's
