Well people of the forest, this week Elder Pilling has a family pray for baptism, goes on a sweet exchange, and has wonderful interviews with P. Nakken.
So yah Tuesday night was a gooder for sure. We met up with the Zaragosa family again and we reviewed the tree of life and what the steps are to get on the path and stay on the path. Of course baptism is they gate! So we discussed 2 dates for them in February and it was very exciting to see how happy they all were to want to be baptized.
Lol we just got haircuts and running from the store to the car (4 feet away) I say "man it's freezing!!" and see that it's 13C...what a whimp.
Anyway then after lunch on Wednesday we started an exchange with Elders from Lompoc, it's a very weird place up there with a huge air force base. Anyway I spent my day with Elder Tangren, the District leader up there and we had so many cool contacts with people just sharing the gospel and having discussions about the Lord. Super special to be able to share with someone the significance of the Lord and His atonement. Anyway, they then slept over and we continued the exchange on Thursday. Also a good day. Really, the Lord knows the needs of ALL His children and the exchange I had with him I felt was a day just for him. We didn't necessarily see a lot of initial success, but what we were taught made a lasting impression.
Well then we had interviews and we always take 5 mins at the beginning of interviews to share what's going on and then we take the last 2 interviews and it's crazy to see how spiritually drained he is after meeting with 20 missionaries. Ugh he is a spiritual giant and Idk how he does it. We had a great visit though, pretty informal haha but that's how they usually are at the end.
Oh man it was a good week with so many details going on. Been really enjoying it here, supposed to rain all week... Not sure how to handle rain haha. To close I'll share what was shared in our sacrament meeting. If there were a hell, are you willing to go there just to help people? Are you willing to suffer hell so someone else can rise above? To what extent are you willing to serve another?? We as members of the Lord's restored church don't really see a hell in the pic BUT think about that. The Lord suffered everything for us and are we willing to pay some sacrifice for anther's success?
I really love this whole missionary thing, I never want it to end haha I know that everyone thinks that's fake but besides being tired all the time, I really enjoy this so I hope you all have a chance to share something Jesus related as well.
Adios people's.
