Life has been great

Hello everybody. Very very very busy hectic week this week here in the greatest mission, the great California Ventura mission. Tuesday we bombed down to Mission Leadership Council for some counselling. That was a gooder, so many wonderful principles were taught and we really got into the meat on what needs to be done. We left at 5:30 and got to the office at 7:45 to help cook breakfast for all the leaders with Sister Nakken while also preparing our role play that we presented about working with the members. With this new adjustment to the schedule President only wants visits to be 15 minutes of teaching and or trai ning, nothing more. So it's a bit stressful but it's very rewarding, great things are happening here!! So that was neat, it went all very well. Sadly we only have 1 person to be set for baptism in the zone in December but over 8 for January!! It's going to be great! We dipped out and got back at sometime, I forget.

Then Wednesday was a great day. It rained all day but we had interviews with President Nakken. We got 20 mins before everyone to give him the rundown and then Elder Drury and I each got a little bit at the end. After my interview President Nakken asked if we are doing anything for dinner, he then saw it was 4:10 already so he took us out to Firestone, the place with delicious tri tip sandwiches. It was super neat to spend a few moments with them and to discuss more about what needs to be done. So much to do with the zone:)

Thursday we had our exchanges with the new missionary. I went with the new missionary for some training and fun haha it was raining all day so it was an adventure, no one knows what to so with the rain, it's crazy. We had some really cool experiences with finding and teaching and we were able to teach a nice restoration lesson to Mike. It was Elder Levitt's first lesson in the field and it all went great. We are meeting him next week! Blessup so Thursday was an adventure that's for sure.

Then Friday Elder Drury and I were split up AGAIN I went to Morrow Bay in a tri pan with Elder Hulet (DL) and Elder Hiatt (2nd transfer) they are butting heads a bit haha but we had a great day. We started the day with district council which is one of my fav parts of the week. I sought council for our area with a few people because of what has been going on. Some of our friends have really been going through some trials. Really bad but it was great and so that was a bonus. I then brought back everything taught at MLC to the district. Good day good day.

Oh my then Saturday Elder Drury and I were back together, Blessup and Saturday we headed to Ventura with some other Elders for our visit with Elder Niel Anderson, Elder Pearson, and Elder Clayton. They all blasted us with such great things. One thing that really struck my mind was something Elder Anderson said, he talked about the importance of America missions. Now if you recall I've thought about this a great many times and he basically said that state side missions are key to the church because the US "funds the church, not financially but with member strength".  He really expounded on that and it answered some questions I've put behind me but it was very good to hear. America is the hub of the restoration. So it was only 2 hrs with all of them but after we had lunch as a mission, which BTW we've never all been in the same place, so that was super cool. And then we shredded back and enjoyed our evening.

Super busy, life has been great, really focusing on becoming a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, that was something discussed this week and it outlines our life. Not only do we want to follow Jesus or become like Him, we want to act like he acts, and do as He would, and be the light for others to follow. Jesus is the way, great opportunity with Christmas to bring friends to church:)

Love yah
