Last week's email (which didn't send)

Well people of other parts, this week Elder Pilling gets spun around a few times, finds a golden treasure, has Wendy's, and whatever else I did.

Had an exchange Tuesday with Elder Hulet. He is the new district leader in the SLO District, he lives in Morro Bay with a trainee Elder King. So it was fun and very good, we do extra training for them since he's training. But the exchange itself was compete fire. Absolutely amazing. We did it all and it was so good, we even found the treasure which is a... BOWLING BALL!!! I have a bowling ball, isn't that so cool? And since we live in a basement and it has laminate floors I bowl at home haha. So that was cool. And then we had a few good experiences being led by the spirit.
1. We were working this area called Islay, I don't know how to pronounce it but I just literally say "I slay" anyway and it went very well, and then we followed up with one of our friendly people Christian and by this point we were a little behind schedule because we had been having so many good contacts, and we had planned to work an area I really wanted to work so we started walking to that area when the thought popped into my head to check the schedule we had planned. So I did and I saw we wanted to knock doors 1-20 on King Ct. I sensed a need to go there so we turned around and crossed the other direction. First door, no answer. 2nd door, miracle find. His name is Shawn or Sean. Idk. He's 25 and has a 14 month old baby and a gf named Karissa. He told us he's a member but hadn't been since he was 15 and he wants to come back to church... Yah that's when my mouth dropped. Since he had his baby girl Kylee he has been thinking a lot about the church, and then he said, "The fact that you are standing on my door right now shows me I need to make a move." So there you have it. A family:) we set up a lesson and it was a blessed find. 6 doors later we found Wendy, who we are teaching and she is so lost and dizzy, she really wants to find God she's super cool also. BTW knocking doors actually does work. At least here it does.

The 2nd good experience was with Junior!! My favourite guy man he's so cool. And his dog Nano and turtle Bill and birds Steve and Cocoa. It's a party haha. Anyway we had a super good lesson about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and forgiveness/repentance. We covered a lot of material but he understands it all so well. We also met with him last night and he's keeping up with everything which is super good. Also last week he said he wanted to get baptized on his birthday in Jan. But last night he said, "I've been thinking I don't want to wait that long to get baptized, I was thinking of the middle of November or December... For some reason the 21 feels good." So he's praying about the 21 now. So good to see.

Oh my, we went up to the Paso district council to check on things, they are doing very well. We then did a blitz (mini exchange) with a set of elders up there. It was his first exchange and we followed up. Went super good, had some really nice contacts and good people for them to teach.

Oh haha we got bashed one night. It was rough, he's a pastor of the church up the street from our place and he told us we were damned... Super fun:) not. But I read recently, upon advise from my sister, "The Inconvenient Messiah" yah this life isn't really supposed to be convenient because it wasn't really easy for Him. And sure His grace is sufficient for us to be saved but "only after all we can do." 2 Nephi 25:23. We are all saved from death, pretty awesome if you ask me, so it wouldn't and shouldn't hurt yourself to do a little for Him.

Anyway I am very grateful for the prophet of the restoration. And am grateful there was and is a Restoration and how blessed we all are to be able to live in a time where the ordinance of baptism has been restored and the priesthood to perform temple Sealings and all the many glorious doctrines and principles of the Gospel. This is the truth! I love the gospel so much, and it is His gospel. What a joy:)

Love you people. Enjoy
