Well what a great great great week. This week Elder Pilling has interviews, makes a couple jokes, just about dies, and is spoiled.
So we ate out 5 days in a row this week. Tuesday was Cool Cats burgers with Bro Gay
Wednesday was old SLO BBQ with Henry
Thursday was Nuccis and cheesecake with the Platt's
Friday was the Habit
Saturday was Panda Express with Sainsbury
And then today is Firestone with the zone. So yah eating like really healthy hahaha actually though kinda Nuccis has this raspberry dressing that's SO good. And their cheesecake is the best cheesecake I've ever had. No joke. Seriously. Thick and creamy.
So another exchange!! I went off with DL comp Elder Hutchison who is a Spanish elder. We had an interesting day with service and lessons and baptism goal setting but it was oh so good. Let's review our lesson. So Wendy, she's newish, I talked about her in the last email, I hope haha. She is one of my favourite people I've ever taught. She is lost and we are helping her. She doesn't believe in God although she really wants to. She believes Jesus was a good Jewish boy and we are helping her gain the testimony that she desires. She keeps all her commitments with exactness and like studies it not just does it. She also has us meet twice a week and it's good because she throws wrench in the lessons that keep me on my toes. The good news is that the gospel is simple. It really is. I know eternal progression is intense and confuses me but the gospel of Jesus Christ itself is beautiful. It's really quite good.
OK after our lesson we painted a room for this cool guy Henry, he needs help. Blah blah cool doing zebra work because I will start the convo and they say, "Aha no English so you can leave now", and then Elder Hutchison says, "Hola Spanish words" and it worked out great!
Junior has progressed very well. In fact he finally wrote in Sharpy his official baptism which will be held on November 24 2018!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH thank goodness. It's amazing. Truly blessed and very excited. I told him "did you know you're one of my favourite peoples on earth?" He said "no..." and I'm like "yes! You're so cool and you've really changed us and we love you!" I t was a great moment in the history of all mankind.
Also had interviews with P Nakken. He owes me dinner haha that is good. But he was spiritually drained since we go last so it was a very chill time. Pretty much just chatted. Idk it was great. Learned more about the Nakkens when I talked with Sister Nakken. That was also good.
Yah know I don't really have much more to say. A lot has happened, in fact I hit my year mark like 2 weeks ago which was so incredibly anticlimactic it's not even funny. It's my bad but we literally changed nothing. So that was fun.
Well since Wendy doesn't believe in a Saviour I've been thinking a lot about Him and how grateful I am for Him. Without his atoning sacrifice I would be a hard rock. But with the atonement of Jesus Christ I can become all soft and gooey every week. He has literally saved every one of us. He literally lived each of our lives from start to finish and he suffered all that we will so that he can lift the burdens from us. I pray that I do all I can to share His saving power and I hope you are conscious about who could use the Saviour Jesus Christ as well.
