Dear John or John Deere?

My title is a very funny story I shall tell you about later. It's like my book to get the reader engaged with this marvellous email!

This week was just great as always. Perfect temperature, good food, riding bikes, finding people, teaching people, and STAYING IN MOORPARK FOR A 3rd TRANSFER. Yes I'm staying for another transfer here in the Walnut Canyon ward. I am so excited for this next transfer. I really wanted to stay, I know the area, the people, the members, our investigators and so I wanted to help them all. Sad thing is, Elder McEntire is leaving me...this is a big bummer, he was fantastic and we did a ton of great work!! But my new companion is supposed to be awesome as well. Elder Goodman from Arizona somewhere. Pick him up tomorrow.

Let me think of what was fantastic this week. Well it was a good week but average. On Tuesday we had mission wide walk day. Elder Mcentire and I knocked 49 doors, 21 answered and a few new potentials. The first neighbourhood we knocked was terrible so we went to another neighbourhood and it was much better. So the stats got all messed up but it was fun:)

Story time!! Elder McEntire and I were walking down the street and we were talking about how we miss mowing lawns. He then asked me if I had a dear John...i said Yes! And then was likeeeeee hold up is it dear John or John Deere? Lollolol since Elder McEntire has a girlfriend we always joked about him getting a dear John, but then we didn't know if a John Deere was a dear John or a dear John was a John Deere. We laughed about this for a longgggggg time!! Classic missionary things!

Here is what is super exciting for this transfer. We have 10 active families in the ward who have accepted to be taught the 6 missionary discussions. They are encouraged to invite non members. This is awesome and will be a big push for referrals here in the Walnut Canyon ward. I sense great things here in the future, not to mention all the investigators and potentials we found this transfer. Excited to work along side them and help their faith in Christ grow!!

Saturday, Sunday, and today Elder McEntire has been sick so he has been recuperating inside. I never thought doing nothing would be so hard!!! I kept thinking about the people we needed to visit and the contact attempts that needed to happen, the lessons we were missing and so forth. I did however get a lot of studies in:) and I love that, especially in regards to the Book of Mormon! What an incredible book=)  I also watched some inspiring church videos. So I am very excited to get out and proselyte.

Sorry this was a lame email compared to other weeks but with pal being sick and all it wasn't too fun.

Shout out to elder Waite in another mission, he wanted emails from people and he is very cool.

Love you all!!! If you're not reading the Book of Mormon then read it. If you are, then good on yah.

See you all next week (via words)
