The Week of Miracles

People of not California, this is really good. Really good. We saw so many miracles it was pretty amazing, and that is what this is all about seeing miracles.

So super super busy this week. Friday night in a lesson, this guy Abel said ,"Elder Pilling you look tirreeedddd you should go home and get some sleep." hahaha little does he know we don't do that kinda stuff.

Tuesday morning got up early. Then we had the departing missionaries stay at our apt Tuesday night and 6 of my 10 companions went home together!!!! That's crazy. Pretty much all my friends left in a day. The good news is we all had a good time the night before they left.

Then exciting things happened on Sunday. We had 5 of our friends at church:
Joel
Kapono
Esteban
Christina
Amy

So here's the good news of the week, Joel, whom we've been working with since I got here and who has been saying he's not ready to be baptized, well, he said he will be baptized a lot sooner than what he has been saying (he's been saying December 9) and that's really exciting. Bishop Basua made a big push recently, we have been focusing on Joseph Smith more and how he can have his own spiritual experiences. Seems to be paying off.

Then Kapono, this kid whom we recently met. We stopped by to see his mom during 8-9 pm for a member visit and she said... Literally... "yah the Elders used to teach Kapono but he wasn't ready to be baptized but I've been thinking and he's ready, he has permission to be baptized." We literally only said hello. Haha anyway he came to church with our WML and said he really liked it!

Then half way through sacrament meeting Amy walked in. We instantly knew she wasn't a member because she had a coffee 😂.  Anyway we talked to her afterward and the Spanish Elders found her and invited her to church and she came to our ward! She really enjoyed the come Follow Me lesson and we taught her our first lesson right after. She has been prepared! Super excited to start working with her.

And we were also very blessed because we set up 3 member referral lessons for this week. AND on top of all that, the mission is reading the Book of Mormon in a week. Tuesday-Sunday from 9am-4pm daily. Should be neat.

Well that's probably good enough don't you think? Been a good week. Week 1 done, 5 more to go in this transfer. Steady Betty.
