Go go go

Well this week we had a busy Monday, a busy Tuesday, a busy Wednesday, a busy Thursday, a busy Friday, a busy Saturday, a busy Sunday, and a busy Monday.

This week Elder Pilling gets up, works, goes to sleep and repeats. Been pretty repetitive lately.

So here's the situation, it's  a new transfer so we snagged a few more people to prepare for baptism. We started meeting very regularly with the Watson girls Honest and Sincere. Now that it's summer we've got bi-weekly lessons set and they are really cruising along. Sincere said, "OK so what am I going to learn today?" and proceeded to start praying right then. Pretty classic. We've also helped them see how neat it would be if both Honest and Sincere would get baptized on the same day. You wouldn't think that's a problem but the previous 5 were all baptized separately.

Joel is doing swell as well. He's been thoroughly enjoying the Doctrine and Covenants as well as learning more about Joseph Smith and President Nelson. We had 2 neat lessons with him this week but in one of them we reviewed and testified the truthfulness of the first vision and then taught that if Joseph Smith received revelation for the restoration of the church, then he also received revelation for the temples God gave us, and also the Word of Wisdom. Joel didn't understand why the word of wisdom was a commandment but when you tie it in with the powerful experiences Joseph Smith has, then you help him feel where it came from, God.

Another very good lesson we had this week was with Steve. He's 17 and in high school and we finally found a time to sit down (we met him a month ago or so) and we had one of the most humble lessons I've ever had. We taught him of the reality of the premortal existence and how we as God's children have an unrelenting power to know Him simply because we are His. Steve felt very close to his Heavenly Father and he even said his first vocal prayer. That is the power of The Holy Ghost. Steve was so intrigued and listened intently to what we had to offer. He pushed off all previous beliefs and just wanted the truth. And that's what made it so humble and powerful. God be thanked for The Plan of Salvation.

What else? Oh lol we had transfers on Tuesday. That was just a big headache. I drove up to Santa Maria with Elder McMullin and we drove the transit van from there to Santa Barbara, then to Oxnard, then to Thousand oaks, and then back to Oxnard. Picking and dropping off missionaries. We got up at 5:20 and left at 5:30. Got up there at 7:30. Left a bit late because the man with the truck and trailer was 20 mins late... Frustrating. Anyways the best part was when we left Oxnard and I get a call saying, "Elder Martin and Elder Foster are still here which car do they go in?" Oops we ran out of room and left 2 Elders haha pretty funny. It was an easy fix and they made it safely. Right after the train we got back at the mission office for lunch at 12:30 and then started the trainers meeting at 1.  That went to 2:30. Oh man it was one thing after another. All in all I spent 7 and a half hours driving. Yay.

That's that people. We had a great week of proselyting. Pretty hype. Also if anyone has some sort of way to get energy lemme know cause it's E all day everyday. And our pday is non existent today.

Adios love yah
