Disciple

Well this week was great. Extremely fast. Like unusually fast.

Anyway so yep still down here in the channel Islands ward in Oxnard. Been pretty good. Elder Pilling eats toaster strudels, has lunch, and roasts up.

Been pretty good here in Oxnard except the fact that Elder Drury and I spent 1 day together... Ha that's a bummer huh. We finished up exchanges this week and prepped for zone Conference for this upcoming week.

With exchanges we had some pretty neat experiences. I will share at least one. So Elder Eggen and I were out and about and we pulled up to Jose's house. We had a lesson set up with him and as soon as we pull up he came out of his house and passes The Book of Mormon through the car window and said, "I just can't believe this it's unrealistic." Well here comes the good stuff we said , "Do you believe Moses passed through the red sea on dry ground?"  Jose said, "Yes, of course" we continued "Okay and what about Noah and the Ark?" He also believed that. We then said ,"Those events happened by the power of God. This restoration and bringing forth of The Book of Mormon happened through the power of God. In Matthew it says, 'by their fruits ye shall know them' and Joseph Smith left us some fruit to chew on. He said “His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of his head was white like the pure snow; his countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and his voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying:

“I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father” (D&C 110:3–4)

We quoted that section from The Living Christ and then said, "Do you not feel the power of the Holy Ghost" and he replied "no" and I just said, "well you have a hard heart and you are not ready to receive such a message. Here is 2 Nephi 31. Read it and ponder it. Pray with real intent and we will come back."

We drove away in the 2019 Chrysler Pacific. One of the most powerful experiences and he just straight up denied it. Come on Jose!

I know that the fruit of the Lord's prophets are good. President Nelson is a prophet, as was Joseph Smith. The Church of Jesus Christ is true. 

A funny story here. Elder Drury can't spell very well and he doesn't really care so we were typing up an agenda and he types "becoming a dasiple of Christ." Well you know I had to laugh hahaha that's just so classic isn't it? Disciple would be correct. He also didn't even try to spell curriculum. What good times. 

Well I'm pretty much done. We had so many cool experiences but really think about all the fruit the Lord has given us to convert us to the straight and narrow. If you don't know for sure if the Lord's servants are true servants, then I would suggest you study their fruit. 

Adios people oh also the fire alarm went off in the middle of MLC. That was annoying. Ruined the spirit. OH AND WE TOTALLY FOUND A DYSON
