Where to begin with this week? Oh dah. So Tuesday I went to Agoura Hills with the DL Elder Tangren. We had a great day, talked to loads of people, and had some excellent training.
There was one house with a Rolls Royce and a GT-S in the driveway. That's about 500k. Turns out buddy is in his mid 20's, Elder Tangren was convinced his parents own a call centre in India.
One of the more interesting conversation was with this hippie couple. They travel all around the states hiking and camping 🏕 and when we asked , "Do you believe God created this great green earth?" they said, "We love nature but that's the question isn't it? Where did all this come from?" It continues to amaze me how many people don't know what they know. This is a big deal ya know! Something like eternal life. Make sure you know what you know.
And that brings me to the next subject, teaching and testifying. It was fascinating this week because I did some training for the new missionaries in the zone about teaching with power and testifying in the name of the Lord. Too many people just humm hah about the gospel of Jesus Christ and if you can't teach something with authority then you clearly do not have a conversion to Jesus Christ Himself. It was a powerful district council. I loved it. Think about it though, a testimony is living and if you aren't constantly feeding your testimony then it slowly goes from I KNOW to I know to I BELIEVE to I believe to maybe... Not good. So just think about what builds conversion for us missionaries:
What: conversion
How: study and prayer and testifying
Why: Jesus Christ
Then Saturday I went with Elder Goodman on exchanges. Over a year ago we were serving in Moorpark. Crazy how times have changed it was legit because the assistants now drive a 2019 tundra so I shredded in that on Saturday. It's got 3000 miles. Pretty smooth truck tbh. What's sweet is we picked up a tandem bike from a member and ripped that proselyting. SOOOOO much fun! Loved it. We had so many wonderful chats and since I hit 18 months it was a good time to review if you will and since Elder Goodman has been by me for a LONG time. He had good insights. Pretty much though missions are the best, and God is great.
