What is up all you magical unicorns. BTW since being so close to the ocean, I am convinced that mermaids exist. They must be real.
So this week Elder Pilling gets a massive jar of pickles, gets a ton of Julies cookies, and helps a missionary on crutches.
Killer stellar week. Pretty insane how quickly it went though, kinda odd how that happens. Literally, it was Monday less than 24 hrs ago, or so it feels. I just remembered we had zone Conference this week lol. OK zone Conference was good, no idea what we talked about... Just kidding we talked about the importance of the Spirit and Family History work. Also our car Callie freaked out on us and wouldn't start and the horn was going off for a solid 5 minutes.
James is doing killer as well, the power of the Book of Mormon is what will help him see the need for church and baptism. He's such a cool guy. Really great lesson which BTW I taught with Elder Kennington who is the one with the crutches... He dislocated his knee or something in basketball, he's currently at the doctor. Anyway what was good.
Charlotte is doing fairly well, she's not convinced that President Russell M. Nelson is the Prophet but we will bring the spirit of conversion next lesson.
And the best part of the week was being able to talk with Phillip and Lauren, they came to church on fast Sunday and he bore his testimony. They've had their rough go but we were able to spend time with them and commit them to taking the lessons, they are super excited for this opportunity. Finally coming together with them!! Family of 5:) plus he drives a King Ranch F-250.
Emilia is our newest person to teach. She's very interesting... And that's why I keep adding all these dots... Idk what else to say... But the good news is that she talks about us in her college class and says we aren't weird! Hallelujah. Difficult to get these new missionaries not to be so scripted. As Elder Tanner and I say "just send it". Very good.
Yah, now to close this fabulously written email I will share an experience we had at dinner. This member family had been friends with this non member couple for years and they've met with missionaries and had dinner with them etc and for some reason I was impressed to share with them Mosiah 3:7-9 which is a beautiful description of someone I am so grateful for, the Saviour Jesus Christ. We read that scripture and bore testimony they He lives! And He has saved us from both physical and spiritual death. They don't believe in God but we invited them to re-look at the Book of a Mormon they were given years ago. I know the Power of Christ is a compelling power. He desires all of our salvation. Never forget what he went through. "Blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for... His people."
That's it for now. I'm glad no one reads these!
Elder Pilling
