#blessed

Pretty GREAT week NGL (not gunna lie)
This week Elder Pilling does nothing particularly exciting. Except invite, teach, and help others progress towards baptism.  It was exciting for me.

So this was really a good week in the teaching game. We taught the restoration to 3 of our investigators Joe, Jen, and Valerie. Joe was Thursday and Jen and Valerie were back to back on Friday (which BTW is the greatest thing ever and has never happened before).  They all went very well and 2 committed to church the 27th and we discussed baptism with Jen. So that's good. Joe is a bigger nut to crack, he's not a believer of church, and Valerie we just have no idea yet. While teaching her the restoration she kept saying "oh I didn't know that!" haha well the restoration isn't known by many. So it was good. Like all 3 of those discussions were really killer. And this week I believe we taught an investigator every night except Monday, which also has never happened to me before. So things are very good here in the Camarillo. Although it's very cold. Overcast and not sunny. Ugh I'm going to die when I come home lol. Good thing I have a while here in the sunny state.

Okaiiii (ok•a•eeee) so something very neat happened this week. And the connection is so cool. So in Moorpark (my homeland which I dearly love) I had some friends Jeff and Lindsey. They are Catholic but Elder Goodman is working on them now;) haha anyway before I left they gave me her parent's address here in Camarillo. Elder Potter and I stopped by and this is what she says, "Oh Lindsey sent you, you look so cute. Come on in".  She is in her late 50's probably and always would let the missionaries in her home. Hence why Lindsey let us in. She knows we all get fat but she complimented us and how long we've been out:) Anyway good chat, her husband is very nice. Having lunch on Tuesday with them. She called herself a dry Mormon. The hardest ones to crack haha but we will see, she is very sweet non the less.

So without too many details one of our investigators is very close to baptism. Our last lesson was fully focused on baptism and confirmation (we didn't plan on it. Thank goodness for the spirit) and got her to come to church on Sunday. It has been a very big struggle for her. One of her grandkids was shot about a week ago. He's 16, dozens of bullet holes in his car and thank goodness he is recovering well. Another grandson needs his tonsils out. He's 3 but also has terrible cavities which are close to root canals. And my goodness her sweet granddaughter has a hole in her stomach which should have been fixed 3 yrs ago but wasn't and it may have progressed to Cancer. Its crazy for her but we continue to pray and work with her so she can come unto the fold. She has been set on date 3 times in the last 2 years but this time we will do it!! We are working on her coming to church 3 weeks in a row to show her commitment. She needs the gospel!!

Oh my also we had exchanges on Wednesday. I went with Elder Mateaki who has been out 4 weeks. He's greener than the colour green. It was great though. I got to drive all day in their 2018 Toyota Corolla with 1700 miles on it:) vroom vroom. It was great. Met a real nice gentleman who I believe they will teach. And helped another guy drop his gas tank out of his blazer. It was an interesting day. Lol he kept asking me how I have so much energy. Which is a valid question. I don't know, it just comes and never ends. #blessed (for the Harker's)

Anyway another cool thing this week. President and Sister Nakken came to our district meeting on Friday and I was assigned a discussion so that was fun. Kinda cool we had the zone leaders and the Nakkens plus our district of 8 for a total of 12. Big group to discuss the importance of the Book of mormon and the bible with. I really like doing those, sad part is everyone is like zombies. Liven up for crying out loud!!! They did talk, well the zone leaders and my companion haha everyone else was too quiet.

It is amazing the blessings of the Lord and how he recognizes us and knows who WE can touch. It has been a very good week of teaching and Elder Potter and I were able to relate so well with the people we met. Good to help. Oh my, especially OUR NEW FRIENDS.  Oh my goodness I almost forgot. So we met with 2 young couples in the ward Friday night and they gave us donuts and  these guys are like straight out of Sienfeld. It's hilarious. You have the health nut, the space cadet, the cool kid and the nerd. Very classic and very good. One served in the Dominican (Jbuddy) and the other in New Zealand right were g'ma and g'pa are at so that's also neat. And they both confirmed to us that we have the best mission:) I wonder sometimes cause no one cares about us but it really is wonderful here.

That's all folks.

Love yah... hopefully
