My Companion is Elder Potter, who served in Moorpark 2 transfers ago with Elder Harris. I've been on an exchange with him and lived around him so I know him pretty well.
Camarillo is a bit bigger than Moorpark, more settled as in older aged folk. It has a Lululemon outlet, which I've heard is great. Also Nike and Vans and other stores that I don't know or care abut. I am in a car! And my area is geographically large. It's usually 8 or so degrees cooler:) Especially with summer coming up, I'm glad.
That's all I know for now. I leave tomorrow morning around 7. But it was definitely sad to say goodbye to people last night. Nancy and George especially. Even though George didn't come to church:( still sad about that. I told him it was my last Sunday. Bishop Hodges spoke with him, and we were hopeful he would come but he didn't. Nancy came though! Bummer though, 6 months and we didn't get anyone to church except Nancy, but she's already a member. Anyway that's OK. Had some great visits with some members and more today. Even though Moorpark is small and boring and I've tracted it out twice, it is still wonderful.
Hilariousness, so we have been getting some fire from some people the last couple weeks and it has been a riot. So last night we were having dinner with the Lewis family and we told him about one of these people who drives a white Tesla who got chapped at us for walking in a gated community. She was super upset with us and we were just having dinner and visiting members. So brother Lewis shared a piece of his mind. I attached the picture down here. It's hilarious but probably not very good image of us... Whoops you live and you learn. Another guy named John shot fire at us as well and I was super super upset at him and got fired up. Elder Goodman was literally laughing and trying to not show it and I was so mad. He was telling us we aren't good enough to be called "elders" and we don't know anything and we are bringing people down to hell with us. It was straight terrible. I've never acted the way I did in my life and I felt terrible because of it. Really good lesson for me, should have just walked away but instead I got super chapped at him. I did go back and apologize though haha that made me feel better. But that was interesting for sure. I just care about this message and he just shredded us to pieces.
So that was the fun stuff of the week. I rode daisy for the last time on the rim. That was a terrible idea because it was super super hot out. But we got berries from the Ellgen family. He works for Discoll and gave me a hat haha.
Anyway that's all I wanna say because I think it's good where it's at.
