Camarillo

Well, what an interesting week with some of the funniest moments I have ever had. So let's start back to Monday back in  Moorpark . So we went to this tunnel and ran under the tunnel for approximately 2 miles! it was dark and scary and exciting.  There was a bat on the ceiling of the tunnel and it flew into my face!  So I was leading all 6 of us and we have our phone flashlights out running in a 4 door tall tunnel and this little bat flies right into me!! You bet I screamed and we all turned around and started running. We ran until I realized it was a small bat and then we turned back around, continued on our trek towards this light we saw. We got to the light and realized the light was just a small hole from a man hole. So then it was super hot and so we turned around and ran out. Super party, we all had cob webs in our hair haha. Wild times in Moorpark!! Anyway Tuesday morning I left my home:( and my buddy Elder Goodman and traveled to Oxnard and then Camarillo. Camarillo is literally 8 miles from Moorpark so not far hahaha but it is literally 8C cooler over here. Basically 20 degrees everyday. Perfect. My new companion is Elder Potter, whom was serving in another ward in Moorpark  the same time I was there so I know him and we are already buds. Piece of cake. My district leader is my old friend elder McEntire who served with me in Moorpark so lots of regular faces. No more hermanas in the district:/ only sisters which I still call hermanas. So 2 sets of sisters and 2 sets of elders. The other elders are in a tri pan so that's fun also. We live on the ground floor!! Haleluigah! It's much smaller than my Alston 4-man apartment but it's nice. The gym is actually open at 6:30 unlike the last complex gym in Moorpark so I run:) it's a party. We live a few miles from our area. 5 minute drive and our wonderful 2017 Toyota Corolla which is white has been wonderful. 13334 miles on it. We drive between 15 and 40 miles a day. Our area covers the hills so it's a trek sometimes.  The vibe I'm getting is that this place has been tracted out hard. Nobody wants to talk to us, so we are planning on tracting the hills,  which will take more time because the houses are further apart but the thought is missionaries don't usually go there so maybe some new faces. This is all boring Info.
Camarillo
So we have a few investigators. Marcella, and Margaret are within the sight of baptism!! It's very cool. Marcella came to church with her husband (who's a member) they just got married in February and she is wonderful! Her english is worse than Nancy's from Moorpark so it's a bit of a struggle but she understands very good. Margaret is in her 60's and recognizes the spirt and that she needs Christ in her life. She has tough family situations with 11 kids and 22 grandkids but she is very sweet.

OK let's just get to the good stuff!! We have a recent convert named brother West who just cracks me up. I first meet him at a dinner and I literally was crying from laughing so hard!! He's telling us all sorts of crazy stories about flying foxes and 4 foot rabbits and crap hahahahaha.  He said National Geographic is better than getting high.  Oh my goodness he was going off about all sorts of things. But he's now a member and that's great! I dismissed myself to the bathroom to calm down and the second I sit back down he says something funny and I started to cry again haha great man.

Another cool thing.  One of our persons we know just got a new car... This car is yellow and very very expensive. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. Just under 640 horse power she sounds unreal. A pretty Mclaren!! Hahaha he wanted to show off his new "toy" so bad and good thing we were there hahaha. Our plan is to race him in the rolla.

So I'm a little nervous to be in Camarillo because they have these outlets I've been talking about. With Lululemon, Nike, Levis, and like literally every store I like so that's going to be an issue... But awesome at the same time lol.

Alright I feel like I haven't said anything spiritual, I promise I am spiritual!! So let's rewind to Margaret and our lesson with her Saturday. Easily one of the most spiritual lessons I've had. Elder Potter prepared this lesson and it was exactly what she needed. Fit her needs perfectly and it was amazing. Strong testimonies and a strong presence of the spirit which she appreciated very much. Shared a few scriptures and a little video. It was amazing and continues to testify to me that the gospel is right. The church is true, doesn't matter what anybody else says. You see I've gotten more flack in Camarillo in a week than I did in 6 months in Moorpark. Crazy but it is what it is. Just have to think what the Savior would do and try and be as close to that as possible.

Another thing that I've been studying is salvation. What is salvation to LDS members? Took a few days but I think I figured it out;).  I'm not gonna share it with you because I don't see the need but acts 2:37-38 just proves what we are doing is right. Just don't forget about enduring to the end. (I think that's the scripture)

Love you all I'm sure. Small chance I don't  but it's definitely possible.
