Soy Un Nino. That is my favourite saying. It means I am a boy. That's about the length of my Spanish sadly. Although I do like missionaro or hombre
Anywho, this week Elder Pilling gets his Christmas package from the Perretts!! Wahoo, goes on an exchange with Elder Morgan (fantastic), feels the rain, and just loves the mission.
This week was just solid. Really a good week. Ok just kidding the whole week was not solid. It rained!!! From Tuesday to Thursday!! Oh my goodness it's terrible. Not fun at all. However the sun poked out for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Wahoo!! Pretty much I'm just going to write about 3 things today. Ok? I hope you don't get mad😡 but instead get happy 😁
Saturday was the best day absolutely ever. So I was on exchanges with Elder Morgan. He is my zone leader. Normally this doesn't happen however Elder Goodman and I requested it and President Nakken thought it was the greatest idea ever. Now some of you are now thinking that Elder Goodman I are like "special" and we need help. That is not the case. We do need to improve but we aren't special. Anywho, Elder Morgan is possibly the greatest missionary ever. It was fun, spiritual, inspiring, and absolutely amazing. I'm saying amazing but it's an amazing time to be alive. So during our exchange we attended a baptism. It was my first convert baptism I've ever been too. It was so extraordinarily spiritual. The music was gorgeous. The spirit was so strong, and the lady being baptized was so ready. It has inspired me to be more focused on getting our investigators to not just progress, but progress towards baptism. It was a very good service.
Ok this email makes no sense.
For dinner we went to the Cheesecake Factory!! We got a slice each. I got white chocolate caramel macadamia nut. It was so delightful. He then made me pork tacos. Super delish. Seriously tho, it was great. We then entered my favourite time. 6-9pm. We lit it up with invitations to come unto Christ. We even talked to some people in a hot tub. And gave them each a Book of Mormon. Say whattttt? Actually an awesome story. So we were walking past the community pool and heard some people laughing, so we go investigate. The gate was locked...Which wasn't a problem at all because I just reached over the gate and opened it. What would you do for the worth of souls? Anyway so once we get in I panic and run in the bathroom. Elder Morgan follows. We relax and create a plan. We exit the bathroom and...invite them to come unto Christ by reading the Book of Mormon, another testament of Christ himself. It was crazy!!!!!
Also this exchange was especially special because it was the first full day I've proselyted from a car!!!! I've been on a bike for all my exchanges and what not and this was my first day in a car. By the way I felt lazy. Anyways I learned more than you think. I'm in a very exciting mood right now so it's hard for me to focus on all the things I learned but is was truly inspiring and I am excited to apply all that I learned.
Lots to do. Lots to do. Lots to do. We have been doing so much to get the members involved in missionary work. I plead with you to be missionaries now. It's not hard to tell someone you believe in God and that is missionary work. It's on the low scale but it's still missionary work.
Any who that's all I'm made of. The mission has taught me to spend money...that's not good.
I love the Saviour! He is the greatest gift. Without him we would all be in despair. He allows us to feel joy and happiness. He truly is the LIGHT and LIFE of the world. Look for his hand in all you do and you will have a stronger appreciation for the Saviour.
Love all of you:) love my mission very much:) the rain isn't that lovely:(
