I like your avocado tree, it's cool

This week Elder Pealing (what an elder calls me=) crawls under a gate to help someone move, picks a fresh orange, and hears from an Apostle of the Lord. And many other things

This week was a most fantastic week!! It was a very "contacting" focused week. Talked to a lot of people, passed out a lot of my favorite books, and got a new investigator◇♡♤■□■•《○》¡●♤ wahooooooooo. The investigator is David. He's Hispanic and we've met with him at his door 4 or 5 times until last night when I asked about his fish tank and pretty much just walked in his house lolol. When we walked in I looked at Elder McEntire and just giggled. We've been trying to have a more solid visit for a while. Anywho after talking about his fish and his fancy lights (10 minutes...)

So I'm going to talk about Elder Renlund and his visit to the mission. He went to the northern part kinda so we just watched him on a screen. But it was still super super good. His wife talked about how people need to be using the words "my church" as much as possible. Because if someone's curious they will ask about it. And if they aren't curious they won't take any offense. So she stressed that you say those words and you tell them an accurate summary along with it. So example, "I taught a lesson at my church and it was great because we discussed Jesus Christ".  Boom they either ask you about the lesson or the convo moves on. It's probably the easiest way to try and talk about the gospel. So I invite you ALL to try it. Use the words "my church" as often as possible in your daily convos and see how many opportunities you get to talk about this gospel which I know we all love!! Do it for the Lord.

Elder Renlund said some really great stuff that I have written in my journal but I don't remember...and I forgot my notes at home soooooo y'all aren't getting anything. Whoops

So I went on exchanges with the district leader companion and we just had a jolly ol time!! It was really great. He showed me how easy it is to talk to people. How to be easy going and not so formal when talking about church. One thing we did was talk to everyone who had an orange, lemon, or avocado tree and just talk to them about their food. Because I like fruit, they usually then give you the food and you get the opportunity to share a message. It's perfect. I just want to share my love for the green vegetable avocado. It is so smooth, yet tasty, and healthy... or so I've been told. Anyway they are good. But yah he showed me how easy it is to talk to people and make it natural. He's really quite funny so he'd just joke with them. He allways made them smile and then it created this "we are friendly" title for us and it's better when we go and try to share the message. So it was really good. It was also with him that we crawled under this mighty gate to help a lady move some things into her moving truck. Oh and after the service we got a member to drive us home. He is the best and helps us out a lot but we started talking about food and then he asked if we had had dinner. We didn't, so he took us out to Jersey Mikes sandwiches and it was soooooo good.  They put like stuff on it that's real good. It's pricey tho so prolly never going back lol.ooo

It's raining hard core here right now and apparently first real rain they've had since March....and I forgot my umbrella at home!!!!!! My goodness.

The gospel is easier to share than most think. Here's a quote from President Brigham Young, "There is neither man or women in this church who is not on a mission. That mission will last as long as they live, and it is to do good, to promote righteousness, to teach the principles of truth, and to prevail upon themselves and everybody around them to live these principles that they may obtain eternal life." Your mission is to do good, promote righteousness, teach principles of truth, and live those principles. Being a good example is one of the best ways to be a missionary.  As you do good you are being a missionary. As you talk about the church you are teaching principles of truth. It's really not hard or as scary as you may think. So try it out by using "my church".  We were promised we will see miracles from a member of the 70. So let's all try it out ok:)

It's still raining

It's almost week 4 of this transfer!! Time has been flying and Elder McEntire and I have been getting some good progress going. It's really exciting and I can't wait yo tell you all the exciting things that will happen this week because I already know it's going to be amazing=]

Love y'all...probably
