Yes I'm unorganized! As a missionary you have a million things rippen through your head!! So bear with me.
Last Monday was p-day, did some shopping- one elder spent $200 on clothes...
Tuesday was interviews with President Nakken. What an amazing man. He is so loving and caring. He gave me some great advice on how I can know if I'm being effective. Literally all I have to do is see if I'm doing my purpose, which is "to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end." So i gotta remember if I'm doing that, which can be hard because it's so simple... just invite but sometimes I want to do more than invite and then it's not good ugh its tough. He's great though. I told him I get scared everyday because I am uncomfortable. It's a little hard. I'm working on it tho!!
Wednesday we talked to members about Thanksgiving. I like Alma 37:36-37 and Alma 34:38 living in thanksgiving DAILY and being appreciative.
Thursday we met with some members and talked about Thanksgiving...because it was Thanksgiving. We sat pool side and talked with a non-member. I used a light saber VI thing. Probably wasn't supposed to do that but it was cool as heck. I fought darth mall...AND WON!! Thursday we had to be inside our home at 7 pm. so I did lots of studies.
Friday I met some PI's (prospective investigators) but they are no longer interested...dang... had district meeting, Super awesome. I learned about Doctrine and Covenants something. I forget, dang I'm useless. JK I'm AWESOME but still not perfect.
Saturday was exchanges with the zone leaders. I learned a lot from Elder Bunnage. He took piano lessons from Auntie Lorie!! He lived in Airdrie for many moons. He knows the Garrys and the Heltons. He's super cool. He's been out 1 year and 10 days. We got along super well and had an awesome day meeting with less actives and prospective investigators. I learned a lot about how to contact from a bike. He's really great, super nice guy and I just learned so much.
Sunday I gave a talk. 6-7 mins about the gospel of Jesus Christ and focused on enduring to the end. Both Elder Ujhely and I spoke. They had 6 people cancel so they needed us. We found out Saturday evening. Good thing church is at 12:30 lol it went very well. I love bearing my testimony to people, even if it's during a talk.
I cannot type worth junk. dang (Yes, I had to edit a ton of typos)
I didn't get to meet with any of our investigators, they were all busy with Thanksgiving but we had an awesome week meeting more members and getting referrals from them.
Ok here's what yalls need to be doing, feeding the missionaries. It helps so very much. Talking with them often about their work. It helps us stay on top of things and to be able to share what the Lord has helped us accomplish. Buy them food- if you see them, give them leftovers. Why not, no one eats left overs any way... except missionaries. And of course tell them about people who you think would be half interested in the gospel. Also, invite! Might as well.
So Moorpark, I will tell you about it because I live here. 35k people. 15 mins from Thousand Oaks. It has a Target and a couple other grocery stores. One chapel and 3 wards. Lots of gated communities in our area. I have most of the codes to get in hehehehe. No movie theatre (like that matters but it gives you an idea). Super great place. Pretty quiet, except LA avenue. Hate that road. A lot of houses in the 42-5800 sq. feet houses (I see all the ads). Lots of pools and teslas.
I hate living in a gated complex. The bikes don't trigger the gates lol.
Send mail if you'd like because mail is exciting. Even if it is a blank piece of paper.
Love yall
Enjoy your lives! Mish work is the best work!
