When the scriptures say what they say

This week just flew by. Ridiculous. 

So this week Elder Pilling drives to Santa Maria for exchanges, prays for Amy, and turns 20. What's up. 

Really it was Saturday and I thought it was Tuesday😂good stuff here in Oxnard. Tuesday I was out with Elder Hulet in Santa Maria. It was 80F and I almost passed out. Not used to that hot weather. We had a really good day though, haven't had that many doors slammed in my face for a lonnnnggggg time. I just started disagreeing... Not great but literally when the scriptures say what they say, and when the scriptures are the voice of Almighty God, then I don't see it being a big problem to argue. Especially if you do it in hopes that they open their eyes. Really fun times though. Some people (and I say this with love) are just pathetic. Don't be so dumb. 

Wednesday was meh, trying to raise accountability in the mission to their goals so we've been working on a new thing. Top secret... Jokes not at all. But Wednesday night was good! We saw Jonny whom was previously known as Jonathan. He was static for a week or so but he is coming back on. I feel like he was off his meds last week. Anyway. 

Friday blah blah blah then Saturday was so hype! It was my bday and we were on exchanges with Elders Roth and Porter. I went with Elder Roth and it was a blast. Everyone thinks we are brothers. Same pants, ties, shirts, hair style, almost shoes too. That's what happens when you're comps lol. 

We had really good food that day it was probably one of the more memorable birthdays as well. Just a lot of work. That night we met with Jonny again with Bro Spiers and Bro Matthews. The spirit was present at the lesson and it was testifying to Jonny the importance to repent and to keep the Sabbath Holy. Truly is a powerful commandment to keep the Sabbath day. I shared one of my new fav scriptures with him. 

Exodus 23:12 Six days thou shalt do (all) thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

We need to let things regroup. It's a preparation day of sorts. I just thought of Jenny and Rosy and if they were getting worked everyday they would want to rest so why don't we rest too? Anyway really though with all honesty, the sabbath is an important day and commandment. 

Here's the deal with Amy. I can't and won't really disclose what's going on but it's a bad situation including a lot of money and violence. Just pray people! She will make it.
