Well Tuesday was MLC and we had some excellent training for DLs since many new ones are being assigned. President then met with us after and told us to come back to Oxnard Wednesday night and stay all day Thursday so that's what we did. Pretty cool because we were involved with the transfers and making new assignments for them. A lot of time is spent on transfers. Pretty neat. Then Friday we had our combined district council so both Districts come together and Elder Roth and I run a council. We did it in front of the baptismal font and that was really good. I used my 7 Summits ride to help the new missionaries not get so overwhelmed. Here's how it went:
I put 10,133ft on the board and then I put sea level and I drew a bike and asked, "How easy would this be?" At first glance that's pretty intimidating. But in order for that to happen we set riding goals, hours, miles, climbing etc and this helps the 10,133 ft seem not so impossible. The mission is the same way. Baptism seems impossible when you have 0 people In your teaching pool but once you start setting personal and area goals you are able to make baptism a reality for your friends. It was good I think. Good feedback, felt the spirit testify to me the importance of goals. Love it.
Sunday night we came back to Oxnard and the fun begins... My new companion is my old companion Elder Drury. I'm so happy to be back with him we had a great run in SLO. We had the Frontier then and we have the Tundra now lol.
Super sad to leave TO but it's all good, the Nard will be good. We've had elder Goodman, Drury, and Roth together and they are all my fav comps so it's a great ol time.
Gotta blast!
Love yah
